watch out
i am
unshackled
Painting, Poetry & Pottery from the heart
i have sat with rage
i have felt the heartbreak
the betrayal
the grief
the indignation.
I do not need to know
the mystery
of love
i must simply
let down my arms
and let it
enter
Invite it to tea
to savor its many names
upon my tongue
but not know it
by any
it shall remain nameless
so i may see it
in your smile
on the sun
on my breath
in the chilly air
of winter
i do not need to know
the mystery
of love
i have come to rest
my mind
upon my heart
my heart
upon the earth
let my bones tell their story
simply by sinking
deeper
i surrender
to
all that is
This poem came forth from a vivid afternoon dream.
screaming, my
bellybutton screams
at the intrusion
unhappy, o intrusion
you make me
smile
